Shading on the BOM

Is there any rationale for how the BOM is shaded.  As far as I can see it seems to be random ?

It would really help if it shaded and/or indented the different levels more obviously as when it is expanded it is hard to see at a glance what belongs to what.  This would need different colours/depths of shading depanding how many levels there were I suppose.  However, if each level 2 item could be shaded that would be a starting point.

Here's what it looks like at the moment:

Just a thought - am happy to repost in the Ideas Station if it's better there ?

Cheers,

Fiona

Hi Fiona,

You are absolutely correct, it is pretty random right now. It starts fine, but then loses the striping logic when you expand and collapse levels. I like your idea of striping it based on the levels in the BOM. I will open a request for that.

Thanks!
