I looked for that stuff all over ADN, but could not find anything. Is it currently available? Thanks, Ricardo.

Ricardo,

At this point we are not offering web services (.API interactions). However we do currently have integration with the Vault product and will be introducing Api services in a later release.

When we make the web services available for use, we will have the documentation / release notes available on our website. (http://wikihelp.autodesk.com/PLM_360/enu/Help)

Indeed, we were prepared to temporarily use Vault as a gateway for our PDM/CAD to PLM integration.

PLM 360 integration will work with which editions of Autodesk Vault (check all that apply)?

Basic (free) ___

Workgroup ___

Collaboration ___

Professional ___

Thanks,

Ricardo.

At this time, the Vault to PLM 360 integration will be offered for the Professional version of Vault only.

I figured that much...

Hagay and Joe, thank you for your accurate - and very, very timely - answers.

Please open this up to Collab too, particularly Collab AEC.

At the moment Microsoft Sharepoint looks to be the only alternative for Vault AEC customers. I'd like to think that AEC customers would be able to connect to their design and content files too via ADSK PLM.

Please also make this clearer on the web page which mentions just Vault; http://www.autodeskplm360.com/pdm-vault.html

What info do you expect to have integrated between collaboration and PLM360? Because with Pro it syncs item data, which isn't available with collaboration. I wouldn't expect it to sync anything else, so im interested in what you're thinking. Does collab AEC use items?

Hi Scott,

We have developed an out-of-the-box CAD/PDM/PLM-to-ERP integration solution, and are considering writing a connector for PLM 360.  We currently have connectors for Autodesk Vault, but we believe that a connector that would directly talk to PLM 360 might be a plus in some situations.

Most of the requests we receive are about Item/BoM data, but our solution is highly customizable, and can accommodate a wide range of data objects..

Hope this helps,

RIcardo.

Scott, not being from manufacturing I don't know the current functionality and limitations, but for AEC I'd like to be able to create business and project processes and attach links to files in Vault, or possibly display metadata as reports from the likes of Revit Families (when family metadata exposure is finally a feature).

I guess what I'm saying is that since AEC only gets Collab (not Pro), it would nice to get some of the same data connectivity to PLM. After all, Vault Collab is all about collaboration right, and what better way than through a web based PLM solution.

Regards,
Chad
