Hi, I've just started a 30 day trial to evaluate PLM 360 agains Arena Solutions "BOMControl" cloud-based PLM that we've been using for the past year.
One of the key things we'd like to be able to do with PLM 360 (or any PLM system we use) is link them to other databases that share common data...mainly items and BOM's. We currently use Expandable for inventory tracking, shipping, PO's, etc, and this must be kept current with all the items and BOM's coming out of Engineering. On the creation side, we use Solidworks and their Workgroup PDM Vault.
We currently keep our three systems synchronized manually, which introduces all kinds of fun errors. Is there a method available in PLM 360 to push or pull data between systems to keep them synchronized? Thanks!

Hi Ty,
We have a great solution for this - Called "PLM 360 Connect" - You can read about it here: http://autodeskplm360.com/connect/
We've done integrations with PDMWorks (EPDM) and and Expandable seems like a pretty modern enough system with integrations which means that integration is possible - so I don't see an issue.
PLM 360 Connect can basically talk to any system, to flies (flat, XML) or anything with a database or API. Start with the web page and let us know if you have additional questions.
When you're ready - You'll probably have to contact someone at Autodesk - we can help with that!
