Discrepancies between BOM on screen, BOM View settings and Editing fields

This may be a post for the Ideas Station, so I will be brief here until I get a response as to where to expand this accordingly!

The new BOM Views have been a great development, but I am finding that some fields that are shown in the BOM View are not showing in the actual BOM tab and also the order of the fields when editing as a user is totally different from that in the BOM View - which is confusing when the fields are ordered logically for a reason.

I can give more detail - just let me know where I should direct this - here or in Ideas ?

Thanks,

Fiona

Fiona,

The list and order of fields that the User sees in the BOM should match exactly the BOM definition in the Admin page. The only exception to this is when a user does not have permission to view certain data, in which case those fields will simply be eliminated from the BOM. For example, if the user does not have permission to view Sourcing data, or does not have permission to a certain section in the Item Details page from which a field is added to the BOM View, that user will not see this data.

If your experience is different from this, please report it as a bug.

Hi Hagay,

Thanks for clarifying - I thought it seemed odd.  I have shared more detail on this with John who has opened a case on the BOM tab server error, so perhaps we can iron this out that way.

Let me know if you want me to upload a PDF of the screenshots to show what I mean.

Cheers,

Fiona
