Project stuck for over 24 hours

I submitted a project yesterday that has been stuck at 32% for ~24 hours or so.  It was done with the "ultra" setting, so I did spend credits to do it.  Do I need to resubmit the project, and if so, will I get a refund on the credits?

Hi Barker_js,

Welcome to our forums!!

Once ultra-project has been started the same can be resubmitted for no extra cost.

Hover over the project in your gallery and click “resubmit”.

In the next set-up menu you can select "new version" instead of "overwrite" and see if the old one will unlock at some point.

Thank you for using our product.

Best,

Mitko

Thanks for the quick reply!

When I followed your instructions, it said that my balance would be charged again.  Is this normal?  I haven't sent it through yet for fear of losing the credit.

Hello Barker,

We have done the necessary and you should now be able to resubmit this project for free.
Let us know if you have some other questions or doubts

Enjoy!

I'm also stuck at 13%.

But when I over the project in the gallery the resubmit icon dosen`t show up.

Thanks,

Sorry, now I see the icon.

It was hidden in the white background.

This seems to be an ongoing issue as I am also stuck at 13% for the past 24 hours.
I'm going to resubmit and see how it goes.

3 hours in on my resubmitted project and it's stuck on 13% again.
What's going on? And can an Autodesk'er take a peak at it for me?

Hi Chad,

We will have a look at the project (but will not have access to the images for privacy reasons).

Just few question to see if its the same problem as Paulo (in this thread).

Are both projects re-submissions ?

Have you used manual stitch tool ?

Have you placed manual markers in a lot of images (more than 10) ?

Thanks,

Stephane

Hi Stephane.

My project has been stuck at "in queue" for almost 20 hrs.

What can I do?

Thank you for quick feedback.

Answers.
1. My first comment here was the initial submission, then in my last comment it was the re-submission.
2. No manual stitching. This tool in itself has it's own set of issues from use on other projects.
3. No manual markers placed.

I'm happy to share the photos folder from 360 if you provide an email.

Hi Chad,

Thanks for the precisions. To check further (and as it seems reproduceable) we'll need your project images.

Please share your project with recap360@autodesk.com wich is a generic alias for support.

Thanks,

Stephane

Hi "youlittle",

This means that there is no machine available to handle your job (all working already).

Don't stop the job, you should be served soon ... there has been a peak of submissions.

Thanks for the reply, Stephane. Now it's running fine.

One other question: which application would I have to purchase to have this recap360 service on my desktop, so I can better calculate the timings?

Or do I have to send this request to a different contact?

Thank you very much for your help.

Yes I would make a request at recap360@autodesk.com

There is no complete and full desktop solution right now ...

But there is a Labs Project called Memento.

Memento is a standalone software that allows for multiple post-processing of "PhotoMeshes", but the scene creation is still done on the cloud (using your recap account)

Hope it helps,

Hi Chad,

Thanks, we got access to your files and had a quick look ...

1) Regarding the blocking issue:

We have found an issue that explains the freese at 13%.

The project file (.rcp file visible on a360) that summerizes your project is for some reason broken : some images size are not in sync with the real data; we still need to investigate why it happened ... can be due to upload/download problems of the images ...

Just to be sure : is there any chance that you replaced some of the images on a360 ?

Until that you can try the following:

Submit again (do not re-submit) ; i.e. create a new project and select the images directly from the a360 (preventing uploading them again)

This is the only way to re-generate a new rcp project.

2) Not so good news :

this will solve the blocking issue, but the resulting mesh is a bunch of small pieces (the ground has not been reconstructed)

In general, for better success in such cases i would suggest to aquire pictures from higher positions : drone or sticks ...

Trying to reconstruct a terrain from low position shots gives too few matches on the ground to be reconstructed.

Hope it helps,

Stephane

Thanks for the follow up.

I deleted the previous project and started a new. When it got through the % complete stage it then produced the following.

So I clicked to retry, and it has now been going through the following since. It's been almost done for a few hours now.
