DJI Phantom 2 Vision Plus

DJI Phantom 2 Vision Plus

Is the camera on this UAV supported by Recap360?

Any issues going with this model.

Thanks

Hi Azmand01,

Sorry but we don't support this lens for the moment.

Today the only supported fish-eye lens is the GoPro HERO3 and 3+ Black edition.

You can use the vision + lens but you will need to first defish the images before uploading them in Recap360.

Thanks,

Pierre

I am not familiar with de-fishing an image.

Can you elaborate?

Thanks

From what we know, DJI and Adobe have released an Adobe Lens Profile for the Vision and Vision 2+ cameras .

If you have Photoshop/Lightroom/CameraRAW/etc you should try downloading the profile and applying the correction to your photos before uploading them.

In another thread, users seem to be happy by using Defishr software.

Regards,

Pierre

I guess I can try with Darktable to fix it.

You mentioned RAW files..wouldn't files need to be jpegs? or does recap supports RAW direct upload.

After fixing defishing RAW files, converting them to jpeg, could that be another issue?

Thanks

'CameraRAW' is a confusingly named Adobe product rather than a format. We do not support RAW files, and yes, converting from RAW to JPG could be potentially problematic depending on how it's done.

Defishing images from the Phantom 2 Vision + did not give me good results in any of the tests I did. Agisoft Photoscan, however, was able to use the images straight from my Vision and produced a beautiful point cloud and mesh. I exported the point cloud from Photoscan and brought it into Recap, it looks great. Any update on if support for the Vision lens is planned? Autodesk, can't you guys just buy out Agisoft to make my life easier (and cheaper):smileylol:?

Is the DJI Phantom 2 Vision Plus camera now supported by Recap or Memento?

Otherwise, is the GoPro Hero4 supported?

Thanks

Hi, GoPro 4 should be fully supported by ReCap360 at any moment now.

We'll make sure to let you know in the next few days.

Best,

Mitko
