particle goals in MAX

I have created particle goals in MAYA before with much success. However I recently switched to MAX and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

Here is the project, simply, fibers from a filter catching an assortment of dust and germs. The client wants a multitude of “particles” so individually key framing is not an option .

Particles will be instanced later on to some gemo, and the fibers are individual poly tubes. (I am stating to understand individual tubes may be an issue)

I am very experienced with 3D workflow, layering and such.  I have had success with PF graph/tree and understand its workflow.  Like I said at the top, just need a point in the right direction. Are they even called “goals” in MAX???

Many Thanks!!!!

Hi , hope these tips are of help.
See attachment .max fle I just made for you.

Tips
Try using Particle Flow > Particle View window

Select > Find Target

Set its option to Mesh Object and assign your 'filter' object

See attached file.

There are other ways to do this I suspect.

Try a google search for
3ds Max Particle View Find Target

A few videos show how the process is done.

Or you might try
Create > Space Warps > Forces > Gravity

Particles will flow in direction you set gravity to.

Probably Find Target is better > See attached max file where target is animated

And particles flow to it.

Best Regards
