Z-Axis and drawing

Hi all,

I have an hatch on the plane XY. This hatch got a rectangular shape that covers 10 design units and it's elevation is 0. Let's say that the hatch center coordinates are (10,10,0) in the WCS. The whole hatch resides on the XY plane.
I have a line that pass through the center of the hatch. Let's say that the line has start point in (0,0,10) and end point in (10, 10,10).
I expect that when i set the front view, the line is visible, but when i set the back view, the hatch should overlap the line, but this doesn't happens. If i try to give e sendtoback to the hatch while in front view, the hatch appears in the back for all view.
How can I tell autocad to respect the Z axis in drawing?

Thanx a lot

Peace.

Zazy
