AcDbHardPointerId question.

I have a custom entity that can be represented using an AcDb3dSolid. To create the solid I have a custom object defining the profile of the entity. This profile is stored in a dictionary and the entity has an AcDbHardPointerId to reference the profile object. In the worldDraw(...) I need to open the profile object to extrude the solid. I thought I read somewhere that acdb.... functions should not be called from within custom entity classes. With that thought, what is the proper method of opening a referenced object??

A custom entity wouldn't be able to do much at all if it couldn't call acdb functions.  There should be nothing wrong with opening a referenced object from within your custom entity's worldDraw.
