Which Visual Studio to buy?

Sorry to cross post but I forgot about the .Net Discussion group.

I have used Visual Basic.Net to create desktop applications. I purchased only VB.Net 2003 thinking that was all I needed even developing in AutoCAD.

I want to create a completely integrated application. It seems the best way to do this is to create an ActiveX DLL project. I can't do this with only VB.Net. But before I go and spend more money I was hoping for suggestions on what to get or if there is another way...

Thanks

There are a few work arounds to allow vb.net standard to create dlls . . .

Good luck.

Thanks, I will look into these.

I don't have to register these DLL's, do I? If so, how?

That is all you need. VB.NET can create DLLs just like any other Visual
Studio application without workarounds. What you cannot do is create
custom objects in AutoCAD (similar to Wall objects in ADT), for that you
need C++ and ObjectARX.
