VS2008 vs VS2010

I'm new to VB & .net looking to do some custom app work for AutoCAD. As  such I've been going through the process of setup Visual Studio, looking for tutorials and research material. I am using AutoCAD 2011 ... and I have installed Visual Studio 2010. Ready to go! Needless to say, I recognize this will be a very long term project.

However, as I do my research  I am finding that alot of the AutoCAD relavent reference material is aimed towards Visual Studio 2008.

How do you suppose I should proceed?

Should I roll back to VS2008?

Is there enought learning material for customizing AutoCAD using VS2010?

This is a very long term project for me ... so I can afford to be patient.

Any advice you can offer to this noob beginner would be greatly appriciated.

While I am still stuck on Visual Studio 2005 for the moment, I believe the differences between VS 2008 and VS 2010 are minimal.

By that I mean that if you find a post that explains how to do something for 2008, in most cases the same approach will also work for 2010.
