I was having a heck of a time getting the netload command to work.
I looked at the properties of my AutoCAD desktop startup icon, and found
that the "Start in:" folder was "C:\Program Files\AutoCAD
2007\UserDataCache\" . I changed it to "C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2007\" and
now it works just fine.
I'd be as happy as a lark, but now I'm wondering about the consequences of
my solution. I think that the icon's properties were set by default when I
installed AutoCAD 2007, so I would guess that others who have AutoCAD 2007
will have the same setting. Does this mean that when I send my DLL to my
customers that I will have to instruct them to change the properties of
their AutoCAD icon? And if I do, what functionality will they be
sacrificing when they do that? I assume there is a good reason for setting
the "Start in:" folder to "C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2007\UserDataCache\" so
what harm am I going to do to them by telling my customers to change it to
the AutoCAD root folder?
Not to mention the hassle of teaching them how to do it every time, but
that's my problem.
