Greetings.
I have code that will publish a dwf from a dwg file, but it first opens the dwg in the ACAD editor, which takes a lot of time.
If I don't want to make any edits, is there a way to publish a dwf from a dwg without opening the dwg in the ACAD editor?
More specifically:
I have a dwg which consists of other x-referenced drawings.
My drawing has a paper space layout with a title block and viewport which displays the referenced drawing files.
I want to publish a dwf of the paper space layout without the code having to open the drawing in the editor.
Is that possible, and if so, can anyone provide an example to get me started?
Or, does the editor need to first assemble the externally referenced files and regenerate in order to publish the dwf?
Thanks for reading and for any useful replies,
Erik
You need to open AutoCAD as this command requires a running instace.
But, if you have AutoCAD 2013 or newer, then you can user the Console (accoreconsole.exe), which enables you to run a light version, without interface, that is much faster and can generate DWF files.
