how to prevent drawn entities from being reformed ?

i don't want to let user change the shape of an object which was drawn before. When i select an entity in Auto cad it will get dashed and get Handle so STRETCH will change the shape of an entity. i want to prevent this.

Hi parisamousavi,

Lock the the object's layer.

Better still, train the user.

Laurie Comerford

You'll have to excuse the resident ignoramus, as it seems
that sometimes he just can't resist making a complete fool
of himself.

You can place your geometry in an anonymous block, and
then insert it. That allows the user to move/scale/rotate or
erase it, but not stretch it.

In AutoCAD 2010, you can also use the new Overrule API
to restrict how certain objects can be edited without using
blocks, but that will only work in AutoCAD 2010 or later, and
only if your application is loaded.
