How to Open and Plot a DWG

Hello,
I'm new of AutoCAD programming, what I'd like to do is:
- Open DWG (2007 version)
- Plot to PLT or PDF
- Exit

I had search on internet documentation about that, but what I found is related to an AutoCAD extension, but I'd like to create a standalone application. For example some command-line like this:

c:\> convertDwgToPlt d:\docs\my.dwg

Can You help me? With some snippet or link that describe how to write a standalone application?

If you are going to open a drawing for plotting, won't you need AutoCAD anyways?
