how to get and set the color of 'drafting tool tip'?

Hi all:

I want to set the color of drafting tool tip,contour,background and the tip font size.

could anyone tell me how to do?

It appears these settings are stored in the Registry under the user Profile, Tooltip section. I don't have any example code to test with right now, but you should be able to get to this using the UserConfigurationManager class.4-9-2014 6-21-32 AM.png

Yes, your company computer can and must "visit" Windows Registry. It just that what part of it can be changed, depending on the login user's permissions.

 

The "...Profiles->[profile Name]->Tooltip" Jeff showed is in HKEY_CURRENT_USER section of the Windows Registry, which is per-user based, and can be read/write accessed by any user who runs AutoCAD in the computer.

OK, the UserConfigurationManager and corresponding IConfigurationSection object cannot be used with these properties, they only work with strings (REG_SZ type in the registry). Since these entries are of the type REG_DWORD they would need to be edited using standard registry editing techniques.
