how to determine whether the layer of a drawing is empty

Hi All,

 

I want to check for the emptiness of  a drawing file. whether the model space or layout is empty. is there any way to find it out. if possible please reply as soon as possible.

Hi Jinosh,

 

Model space and layouts are BlockTable records. You can get an enumerator to it and it is then simple to know if it is empty.

 

If you are new to AutoCAD programming, the snoop tool like ArxDbg should be helpful in understanding the AutoCAD database layout.
