Getting started programming AC 2010

We are running AutoCad 2010 and I want to develop some tools/plugins for it using preferably .NET/C#.

I have Visual Studio 2010 installed. I downloaded the OjectArx package, but could never install the win32 setup as it kept saying "Visual Studio 2008" is not installed.  I downloaded C# /VB.net express 2008 then tried again with no luck.

My question is *what* do I have to have installed to use the ObjectArx APIs???

Thanks...

If by "win32 setup" you mean the objectarx wizards have a look at this post from Through-the-Interface.

Since it sounds like you are starting out I will mention that Kean's blog is a very good source of programming information for AutoCAD.

You might also want to check out a source called the swamp.

Are trying to install the ArxWizards.msi

If you are wanting to develop in .NET the wizards are Here

Under AutoCAD .NET Wizards

I second the the Swamp
