Would someone care to elaborate on what this
undocumented C++ API does for modal dialogs?

This is called by Application.ShowModalDialog(),
and I'm just wondering what it is doing. If it is
subclassing my form, I need to know.

It doesn't subclass your form. It has a strange name but all it does it
walks all the various AutoCAD windows that need to be disabled when a modal
dialog is displayed and disables them.
