Hi,
I heard someone mention today that you could access and edit a drawing database, from an external application, even if there is not instance of AutoCAD running.
I have never heard of this before, and assume that this is can not be done.
Can anyone confirm my thoughts?
Thanks
RealDWG is an Autodesk product you can buy an license to distribute with your own application that allows you to modify dwg files without having ACad on a machine.
In addition to RealDWG from Autodesk there are other libraries available that can read and write dwg files.
Of course the Autodesk product should have the best compatibility with dwg files.
