Convert 2D drawing into 3D

Hi,

I need to convert some 2d drawings into 3D automically. Can anyone suggest me how can I start to do so using .NET API. Below is the screen shot of the 2d drawing. I have also attached the drawing. any sample code would be helpful for me.

Autodesk Inventor has had this function for years but it's not completely automatic. I don't think there's a really easy answer for you as feature recognition will completely depend on how the 2D drawing was made.

The stated work process is backwards to the normal design procedures - parts are designed in 3D and drawings are derived from the model, not the other way around.

If this is strictly for IC work, look up industry standards - there are a limited range of pin sizes, spacings, and counts such that you could easily create a small library to work from.
