Conversion .dwg file to GDSII format

Can anyone give me some hints how to convert a .dwg file into GDSII file?

Sample code in VB will be appreciated.

Obviously, I know nothing about the format, but what I recommend is that you utilize the AutoCAD .NET DataExtraction API
