Change Height of layer dropdown ribbon control

I would like the layer dropdown ribbon control to extend down to the top of the document status bar as the toolbar control does.

I have seen changes made to this before http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/NET/Add-Layer-Description-to-Layer-Dropdown-list/m-p/2652803 are you abe to help Tony or anyone else?

The ribbon control layer dropdown is good it has :-

the ablitity to use the scroll mouse to navigate

home end pageup and pagedown keys can be used

jump to layer by initial latter without changing the current layer

arrow keys can be used

However this addition would be very welcome.

Yes, it's definitely possible.

But making it happen would require a bit of work

and unfortunately I'm a bit swamped right now.

Why don't you write Kean Walmsly and ask him

if he'd like to take a crack at it?  LOL
