Cannot find wrapper assembly for type library "AutoCAD"

Hi

I have been working for some time on an application where i access AutoCAD from within an exe. i know that this is not the optimal way to do things and I expect to convert the code to a dll but for now I need to keep the existing application accessing the com.

That has been working for some time, but now suddenly I get the errors:

Cannot find wrapper assembly for type library "AutoCAD"

Cannot find wrapper assembly for type library "AXDBLib"

Cound not resolve dependent COM reference "ffc2a8db-a497- ..." version 1.0

The referenced component "AutoCAD" could not be found

The referenced component "AXDBLib could not be found

The referenced component "ObjClassImpLib could not be found

Then I made sure that the proper tlb-files exist and run a repair on my AutoCAD MEP 2010 installation. That did not help.

Maybe trying - not succeding to install Autodesk Design Reviiew 2011 + DWG Trueview had a negative impact on the wrapper?

I am using VB code in Visual Studio 2010.

Can anyone explain what is happening and how to solve this issue?

Well I guess that nobody have a solution to this issue. However I found one ...

1. Completely uninstall AutoCAD.

2. Reinstall AutoCAD once again.

... thought that you guys just might want to know 😉

Daem, I´ve gone´even less hair since I started my class in 3Dsm.

As an old Mac user this is my definition of nightmare: Lost or broken .DLL files.

I´ll try to reinstall as you said and If it works I might sleep well again.
