Viewpoint Tabular Report

The clash tabular report is very useful. Is anyone aware of a tabular report for Export Viewpoint Report?

Thank you for your post.  In this case it looks like you are looking to create a tabular report to bring into excel via export from the viewpoints.  Do I understand this correctly?  If so there is a very helpful and detailed process outlined in this post below from one of our resellers to help generate an effective report within an Excel spreadsheet for use and distribution.  Please keep us posted in the community and let us know how this worked out.  Thank you.

Thanks for the reply, but the post referenced is for clash detection reports not viewpoints only. The issue is that I use the Tags and viewpoints to document model defects where many times a clash isn't the issue. Currently it seems I can only export all viewpoints and the report isn't tabular where I could sort through the data.

The workaround is to first delete all viewpoints that you do not want to export, then export and then close the NWD or NWF file WITHOUT saving, naturally.
Then you would only need an Excel vb macro to read viewpoint report.xml and place the data you need in the columns you want.

Thanks for your suggestion. I did the first step you mentioned but I'm not familiar with Excel vb. I was hoping there would be a choice like the clash detection or an XML tabular template I could replace the standard one with. I'm a little puzzled why there would be an option for clash detection reports but not viewpoints. Seems like something that would be standard.

It does sound like a decent idea.  For now, your only option is to modify the XSL Transform used to create the HTML view reports.  Might be possible to create a plug-in that does something similar with your own XSL Transform but that could be a bit excessive.
