So I am fairly new with Navisworks and I was playing around with it on my last job a few years ago and I was able to look through things. I am wondering if it is a drawing specific or if its a setting and I would be able to do it on any drawing I have sent to me. For example I am trying to look at pipe that goes under a bridge and I would like to see through the bridge to the pipe underneath

Select the item you want to make transparent, go to the tab 'item tools' and set the transparancy to e.g. 50%. This only works when the Viewpoint mode is on 'Shaded' (otherwise you have to append a transparant material).
Okay so I am in item tools but I do not have an option to change my transparency I only have the reset tabs
Ok this option is only available in the Navisworks manage or simulate and regrettably not in Freedom. So you have to ask somebody with Manage/Simulate to set the object to transparent en save it as NWD again.
See pic.
Pick the object in navis you want. Go to selestion tree and the object should be highlighted. Right click and and hit over ride. Sllide the transparency bar as far as you want it. Hope this helps.
