Running FileConvert as a scheduled task

In an older version of NavisWorks there was a FileConvert Option that could be used to convert PDMS models into NWD format. This convertion could be run as a scheduled task from outside Navisworks. Does anyone know if this is still available?

Hi StephenHenshall1260,

I believe you are speaking of the RVM file reader and the Batch Utility tool in Navisworks Simulate and Manage.  The RVM reader allows Navisworks to open RVM files exported from PDMS.  The Batch Utility, found in the Tools panel of the Home tab, allows you to automate the conversion of files to NWDs as well as create windows tasks in the Windows Task Scheduler to automatically run these conversions.

Page 227 of the following user guide provides details on the Batch Utility:

Thanks for that, it looks promising. As I am still using 2009 version, this is feature is not available so I will get my upgrade installed and try it out.
