Revit Wall Type Not Visible

I feel as if there is an easy solution and I'm just not seeing it, but.....

I'm working with an Architect's Revit Model and trying to pull it into Navisworks Manage. There is one wall type that is not showing up in Navisworks. The only thing different about this particular wall type is that it has an embedded wall sweep (water table) that is only present in this one type. I've checked the "Convert Construction Parts" option in the file reader section of Navis, but that didn't fix the problem. I've created a new 3D view in the Revit file called "Navis", and that didn't work. The only way I can manage to get the wall to show up in Navisworks is to change the "Convert" setting to "Entire Project", but I don't like the results when I do that. If I change the wall type in Revit to a different type without the water table, it works fine. I'm using Navisworks Manage 2014 and Revit 2014

Any thoughts?

An issue with missing elements (wall/sweep) exporting from Revit to Navisworks 2014 has been logged with our developers, and this is being investigated.

To see if the issue is specific to the particular sweep present in the wall type, try removing the sweep from the wall type.

If the wall type shows up in Navisworks when the sweep is removed, try adding a new simple sweep, to see if the issue was with the specific water table sweep.

Also, to ensure that the issue is not related to something in the existing project, try copying the original wall into a new project (using one of the default templates), and check if the issue occurs.

If it does (and if you can), please attach a copy of the new project, and I will forward it to our developers.

Hello Lance,

This has been tested in default native Revit 2014 wall types nothing from past projects. In some cases the walls show but no sweeps and even worse sometime sweeps show but no walls. Essentially it is now impossible to use Navisworks 2014 on any Revit project until this is resolved. I hope the developers plan to work the weekend thus is an epic level bug right now.

Service Pack 1 has been released for Navisworks, and one of the improvements listed is:
Issue where Autodesk Navisworks 2014 NWC exporter from Revit was missing elements for walls

Do you see a difference in this behavior after installing the update?

I have the same issue and the latest service pack. I've tested it with a simple project with only a wall, and a sweep with the profile loaded from the default Autodesk library. What is the solution?

Was just making a video as an example and when I imported the swept wall, it appeared in Navisworks as I would expect! No idea what the solution was, but it's working now. Thanks.

Same problem.  My other walls appear but my 6" Generic Walls with chair rail sweep do not show up. The chair rails show up indicating the walls are there but no wall.  Very frustrating. Please provide explanation and solution.

I've updated the Navisworks service pack and re-exported to NWC.  The issue of the walls not appearing remains for me.  Did anyone ever reach a solution for this?

Could you share the model (or at least a copy with the wall that doesnt show) for further investigation?

Thanks for the follow-up. I later realized that although I had updated Navisworks SP -- the exporters (add-in in Revit) was not updated. Once I updated the exporters as well, the problem went away. thanks again!

Have been using Navis 2015 trial and the wall / sweep visability bug is still not fixed.

thanks, i'll have a look and see what's going on as Navisworks 2014 was installed on my machine January 2014 so should have included this service pack.
