Project Basepoints in Revit

I am having the hardest time trying to get a Navisworks Cache file exported from Revit to be viewable in Revit. Someone told me it had to do with the Project Basepoint, however this has been incredibly cumbersome. 2/3 of the engineers coordinates line up, but one is rotated, at a different elevation, etc and the locality of the building in relationship to the project basepoint is not similar to the other two models.

With that said, I've been tasked with heading up coordination efforts for our project, yet the model is not yet workable. Can someone please help as I'm on subscription. Thanks!

I’m not sure I’m following your description. You typed that you want an exported Navis file from Revit to be viewable in Revit. Did you mean viewable in Navisworks?

Is everything properly lined up in Revit and then it shifts/moves in the exported nwc file?

Also, you may want to try just bringing the Revit files directly into Navisworks and then save a Navisworks file from there –from Navisworks.

Please post some screenshots that depict what’s going on. That will help the community to better respond.

Better yet, if you’re inclined to make a Screencast video, that would really help us see what you’re dealing with and your workflow and to better assist.

Also, the video and handout from this Autodesk University class on-demand may help:
