NW2014:saving clash reports as saved views, file size, keeping settings?

Dear all,

in case of saving clash results as saved views and the result of increasing filesize, I've read a lot in the forum, but I could not find a current solution for NW2014 Manage.

I want to save the clashes with the appearance in the clashmanager as saved views, clashes highlighted, other objects transparent.

I know how to decrease the file by exporting saved views in xml, delete them in the nwf-file and then import them back, but unfortunately the settings of material and hiding are missing. And also this is just a poor compromise.

Has anyone opened a support case or a solution?

THX

Only this workaround, but it is time consuming.
In the manage where you did the clash detection, Select all and override color to grey.
Go to the Clash results one by one, Select the objects that are clashing and override color to Red or Orange using the right mouse menu.
Then right-click the viewpoint of the current clash, without selecting it and "Update" the viewpoint.
Now this viewpoint has the overrides and will show the clashing obects, even when this is saved in an NWD and viewed with Freedom.
When Exporting the viewpoints to an XML, however, you might loose this info. As I am not worried about filesize, I did not export them for that reason. I do export them to import them next week (or month) to see if everybody has donehis job and to check if the clashes are gone in the newest version of the model.

Dear Achim Kerstens,

Your request was send to PSS and I did send you an e-mail with additional information.
There is already a wish logged for Navisworks that the XML file should include information about hidden elements and material.
At the moment I have no additional input if this feature will bechanged or by what time line.

Best Regards,

Barbara
