nVidia 3D Vision and Navisworks2011

We are testing 3D Stereoscopic of Navisworks2011 :

Graphic card: nVidia GeForce 9800 (3d Vision support)
3d display: viewsonic 3d-ready, 120Khz.

but Navisworks's 3D stereo button is still not activated.

How do I enable the 3D stereo button ?

(other 3d application works fine)

Click View tab > Stereo panel > Enable Stereo .
Note This option is only available if you have the required hardware, and the correct driver and display settings.

try updating your nvidia driver and lowering the resolution of the monitor

Not to hijack the thread but what are the capabilities to feed 6 DOF input from a motion tracking device in Navisworks? It should be said I have the 2010 version.

Navisworks supports 3dconnexion devices. Provided your device is attached to the machine and the driver is started, Navisworks will pick it up automatically and you should be able to just use it directly.

Thanks, but I'm looking for something other than the 3dconnexion device. What I'm looking to interface with Navisworks is more like a Polhemus Fastrak.

I haven't got navisworks here, but you should definitely check if OpenGL is turned off... Since it will only work when DirectX is used for the rendering.

Can use 3d-glasses "NVIDIA GeForce 3D Vision Kit" with the NavisWorks 2011 for monitor show? On the nVidia site there are two types of 3D-systems:

- 3D Vision (http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-home-users.html)

- 3D Vision Pro (http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-professional-users.html)

And only Pro version points to CAD-applications... Shold I have "3D Vision Pro Kit" or Home version is suitable for Navisworks showing on the 3d-ready monitor with a proper GPU?

What other 3d-stereo systems (glasses+monitor) are suitable for Navisworks?

Hi I'll dig out the topic for Navisworks 2014 SP2:

I have active stereo button in Navisworks but after I hit it - nothing changes.

nVidia GTX 780

nVidia Vision Glasses 2 + emitter

BenQ W710ST

It looks like Navisworks is displaing only one channel, I can enter additional options and hit button "Swap Eyes" and there is a little change in the view angle.

Other 3D application (nVidia 3D test) works fine.

Any ideas hot to display both eyes in the same time?
