Navisworks Manage 2013 taking a long time to do tasks

Myself and some co-workers of mine are having issues with our Navisworks Manage 2013.  The issues we are facing are things such as taking a long time to delete a file or merge NWC's as well as causing our AutoCAD windows to refresh an insane number of times while we transform random pieces of the model in Manage.  anyone else having these types of issues?

What file types are you appending/loading. Are you opening RVT files directly as well or just AutoCAD? What version of application saved the files? Keep in mind that Revit files earlier than 2013 take much long to open/refresh as they need to be upgraded. You should upgrade first in Revit and then open in Navisworks.

We have a known issue that development is working on, regarding unhide taking much longer with Clash Detective open. If you set workspace to minimal through View > Workspace > Load Workspace > Minimal, perhaps this will speed up the tasks.

If you are noticing a big difference between 2012 and 2013, and still have 2012 installed, you can open Application Button > Options > File Readers and check what the differences are between your settings (between the 2012 and 2013 versions). Perhaps you have different settings and additional information is being converted that was’t in 2012.

Also, if you are opening DWG files that were saved from 2012 AutoCAD or ealier, perhaps setting the DWG loader version to 2012, restart Navisworks, and reopen the files, you'll find appending/refreshing quicker.

Regarding the refreshing in AutoCAD, is this like a screen flicker? If you turn off hardware acceleration in AutoCAD, and/or Navisworks and/or upgrade your drivers if they not certified for AutoCAD maybe this will resolve the issue:

Here is a page on AutoCAD 3D Acceleration and drivers:
