Hello,
Sounds like it could be a bad Navisworks user profile. I may have a solution for you here:
Hope this helps!

Thanks for your reply, but it made no difference, still crashes on startup. I have attached a screen shot of the error & the dump file. BTW I am using the latest nvidia quadro certified drivers.
Thank you for the update. Did you install the program from a download? It is possible that, if you are utilizing downloaded files for installation, that you have a corrupt file. It is possible. You may want to download clean files and try again. Make sure to install as an admin with Antivirus turned off.
You could try to turn off Hardware Acceleration:
1. Click Start > Programs > Autodesk > Navisworks > Options Editor
2. Click Interface > Display
3. Uncheck "Hardware Acceleration"
4. Click "OK"
5. Start Navisworks.
A startup crash usually means corrupt installation files or profile. Occasionally, it is a hardware conflict. Turning off acceleration would eliminate this option.
Lately when I see this a deletion of the Navisworks user profile helped: C:\Users\**YOUR USERID**\AppData\Roaming\Navisworks\
If you have already tried this, you could also log in under a different user profile and see if you can access the application in this fashion.

Thanks for the reply, I have tried installing from both disk & download, also tried deleting profile folder & turnong hardware acceleration off & also installing latest nvidia drivers all with no success. Program still crashes on startup.
Thank you for the update. Usually profile issues are corrected by deleting the good old Navisworks folder:
C:\Users\**YOUR USERID**\AppData\Roaming\**Your version of Navisworks**
If this didn’t work for you, then I would create a new profile, delete the original profile and then recreate your original profile or stick with the new one. The fact that another user profile can access the program tells us there may be some strange setting buried in your user profile that is in conflict.

We are having a problem very simlar to this with Navisworks Freedom 2014 on Windows 7 64-bit. To sum it up, it crashes right as the program opens and it gives you no error or reason why it crashed. All it gives you is the 'Send report' dialogue like cad.westie posted earlier. We deleted the profile and that didn't fix it either. Any ideas?
