Navisworks 2014

We are about to embark on a project using the following applications:

- Civil 3D 2013
- AutoCAD Plant 3D 2013
- Revit Structure 2013
- AutoCAD MEP 2013
- ElecDES (Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls add-on for AutoCAD)

My question is: Is there any reason I should avoid using Navisworks Manage 2014 with all of these 2013 based products?

We could use Navisworks 2013, but we would like to take advantage of the new rendering features within Navisworks 2014. Having said that, I don't want to encounter any additional challenges for the sake of rendering features.

Thanks for the help!

I would say on the contrary: As Freedom 2014 is the version that is now the easiest to get for all your project members, it is the obvious choice. Navisworks is always at the end of the workflow, so the latest version of Navisworks should open all older version of CAD files.

If you define your grid in Revit, this now shows up in Freedom 2014 as well, with separate commands to handle the grid, that i did not see in Freedom 2013.
