Navisworks 2014 takes minutes to open simple file

Hello,

I have problems to open/attach with Navisworks 2014 SP1 (all hotfixes used) any file .

(It works perfectly with my installed Navisworks 2013 version.)

It started 2 days ago, when I was using a projector to do a training. Navisworks stopped to load data. I uninstalled Navisworks 2014, reinstalled it again. Then I got an error message about directx. I installed the SP1 and a hotfix. Then it was possible to start Navisworks (without loading data), but then an error message about the graphic card driver appeared, so I reinstalled my graphic card driver completely (Quadro 2000M).

Now Navisworks 2014 let me open e.g. a dwg (2,5 MB), but it takes minutes to show the dwg,(German Windows 7, German FDS 2014), but then , even after 20 minutes, you still cannot do anything, just kill Navisworks.

I tried already to delete existing nwc, nwf files , but with the same result.

I have another partition on my computer with a German Windows 7, but an English FDS 2014, there it runs properly. Even without SP1 , I can open the same file in a few seconds.

what do I have to do?

thanks,

Norman

Try this:

Open Navisworks

F12 -> INTERFACE -> DISPLAY -> AUTODESK

Uncheck Screen Space Ambient Occlusion

Uncheck Use Unlimited Lights

Turn MSAA Level to Off (think this is default, but just in case)

hit OK

Close Navisworks and open your file.

If that's not it.. I dunno.
