Hi All,
We have recently attempted to install Navisworks Manage 2014 onto a Windows 8 PC but are experiencing some issues when starting the application.
When starting Navisworks manage 2014, we recieved the following errors.
"Handling Severity(eERROR) component() id(-1), data(0), msg(odviewres.dll is missing)
with the option to abort, retry or ignore
- I click ignore and get
Handling Severity(eERROR) component() id(-1), data(0), msg(Can't find mc3res.dll)-
With the option to abort, retry or ignore
I click ignore and then get a very quick spash screen then the error
lcodpclashres.dll, then nothing.
Attempted to uninstall the application through add/remove programs and recieved the following error
"Cannot find a language pack to use. Please re-install or repair a language pack"
Was able to successfully remove and re-install the Navisworks 2014 64 bit Exporteter Plug-ins English Language Pack but still recieved the same messgae when attempting to uninstall or repair the Autodesk Navisworks Manage 2014 application.
Removed the Antivirus and repeated the entire process still with no improvment.
I have tried using multipul user accounts including administrator accounts with no change in behavoiur and search for patches and language packs here: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=18770289&linkID=10382102, but there seems to be nothing for this veriosn of Manage.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Brian,
The simplest thing to do would be to install the LP again. Go to your source media, and run the installer located at x??\en-US\NAVSIM\NAVSIM_LP.msi where x?? is going to be x86 on a 32 bit platform and x64 on a 64 bit platform. That will mean you should be able to start the product or at least, run the uninstaller up to perform a "Reinstall" type of repair.
If you've already tried this without success, then you might need to repair the non-LP part of the install first, for a 32 bit platform run this command:
msiexec /fvomus {30B37C3C-AB9C-0000-A45A-F2120A332CB0}
Or, on 64 bit, run this:
msiexec /fvomus {48C7C5BE-449D-0000-BB79-9F993F9FDF7E}
Hope this helps.
Andy
