Navis Simulate 2012 Devices shown one colour

Just updated to Navisworks Simulate 2012 and most of the devices that I created in CAD are just displaying in one colour. These devices were forced colours in the 3d block and were showing perfectly in Navis 2010.

Has anybody had this happen to them and more importantly is there a quick fix?

What is confusing is that some of the devices do display with there forced colours.

Many thanks in advance

Ben

The 3d block that makes up the device is forced colours. When looking at the device in isometric  it seems to change it to the layer colour. if you create a block in a block for the 3d model it seems to be ok but there has to be a way to get the devices to display correctly.

Layer colors for objects inside blocks seem to work better as BYBLOCK rather than BYLAYER (so you can still set the inserted block as BYLAYER).  The latter seems to resort to layer 0 settings in Navisworks post-2011.
