Is there any way to move the origin or set a designated coordinate system?
We're importing hundreds of Revit models into one Navisworks project. We cannot move the files to the origin because of our constant importing/exporting and changing reiterations. All the files align nicely, but we really want to move the origin for reference to our designated intersection. Though we've set that in Revit and CAD and they work, importing them into Navisworks puts the origin thousands of miles off to the left. Anybody know how I could fix this? Thanks!
Hello there,
I just managed to move the coordinate systems for each part individually,
not unlike moving the Gizmos in Max. Sadly this is not very versaitle and,
as far as I know, it´s not permanent. Therefore the transform handles
sometimes are a little out of place, therefore it´s zoom versus position of
handles.
Therefore I imported all of the parts - placed them- deleted them one by
one and saved each and every part as a new nwf long with it´s coordinates
relative to the other parts.
A little complicated, but it did the job. Is that something in the way you de-
sired to do?
Kind regards
Daneil
Well that sound like a hell lot of fun 🙂
I never managed to move the center
to more desirable coordinates perma-
nently. So I ended up doing quite the
same.
Was fun, especially if the input units
differ by 1000 (mm to m) and you need
to make a meaningful combination of
both.
Good luck 🙂
Kind regards
Daniel
