This can occur with the 2014 software when annotations are made in a viewpoint, exporting to XML, and then importing the XML.

This issue has been logged with our developers, and they are working to address it in a future update.

Any service pack or update for this issue?  Importing viewpoint is non-functional in 2014.

Also here the problem is occuring, even when I try to export Viewpoints from Simulate 2011 on a machine where Simulate 2014 is also installed.

However, when you open the XML file with a ACSII Text editor and go to the line mentioned,

you are able to cut out the section that causes the problem.

In my case:

from <box-rotation>

to </box-rotation>

for each viewpoint.

SP1 for Navisworks 2014 has been released. I did a quick test of exporting and importing an XML ViewPoint, and I am not receiving the error.

I can confirm that SP1 did solve my issue as well.

I removed all the attribute  named "pattern="65535" of the redlines and saved the XML. The import works now. But this bug should definately be resolved.

The issue is only partially solve.  If you export from Simulate 2014, it will give  you an error when importing to a Simulate 2014.

Are you sure that both Simulate 2014 are the same version and did both get the SP1 update ?
Did you open an save both the models in 2014 SP1 before exporting and importing the Viewpoints XML ?

Yes. I have been working with multiple other companies, and they are experiencing the same issue.
