Install problem

When trying to install Navisworks Freedom 2011 viewer I get the following error.  "Cannot update some system component now. Please reboot machine and try again" I have tried just about everything I can think of with no luck.

Yes I have admin rights.

Checked and even manually set the file/folder permissions.

Rebooted.

Re downloaded.

Even tried in safe mode.

I am stumped at the moment has anyone seen this error?

Thanks.

It probably will have to do with the "prerequisite software" like .NET runtime or XMLparser or so.

I solved this issue by downloading the "prerequisites" that are needed to run a MicroStation V8i and installing those first.

After that and a reboot; try again.

P.s. You're not trying to install the 32-bit version on a 64-bits Windows, are you ?

Hello,

Please refer the solution on Autodesk.com entitled "2011: Error installing SP1".  This should help resolve your issue.
