imported files no longer align in model

Does anyone know any reason why imported files would move between navis2012 manage and navis2013 manage?

Let me explain.  (forgive me here if my Navis terminology is rather poor)

We have a model made up of 3-4 other companies drawings.  When we open this model in Navisworks 2012 everything lines up properly and looks just fine.

Now take the exact same navis file and open it in navis manage 2013 and the different files no longer line up where they should be.  These are not new files they are in fact the exact same files on the hard drive.

Is there something that would cause this variation between 2012 and 2013 navis manage?  Did 2013 introduce some additional setting for importing with different origin points and therefore 2013 is reading the file differently?

To check if there has been a change in the options, open both the 2012 and 2013 versions of Navisworks, open the Global Options, and compare the available options between versions.

A typical issue is that in your new 2013,the settings about "convert references" are different, making that 2013 does load the references of the CAD Drawings, where 2012 did not.

this could result in showing the CAD file multiple times, on a different location.

You can export your 2013 Global Options to an XML file and Import them into 2013. Also right click on a file in your selection tree and select File and Untis Transform. What units is it in 2012 and what units is it in 2013. I noticed a similar issue where one Version was opening the files in Feet and another version was opening the files in Meters.

The units is what seemed to br the problem.

Once we changed it to Feet and Inches Fractions everything seemed to be fine.  It doesn't make any sense to me but that is what seemed to work.
