I tried to follow the directions I found in the below blog.

The problem I have is that I can get the image to show up but it loses it's color and is also rotated differently then I had it my Civil3d drawing. As of right now I just have the image loaded into my Civil3d drawing do I need to somehow attach to the surface?
What type of image file is this? If you go into a photo editing application and save it as a JPG or BMP do you have the same issues?
Can you try creating a new material using that image inside the Navisworks Presenter window?
Do you have any screenshots of the current settings and result?
The aerial image is in jpg format. I've attached a couple of screen shots of what the image looks like in my source drawing and how it looks when it shows up into Navisworks. I havn't tried creating a new material I'll give that a shot.
How did you get on with creating a new material or saving the JPG as a BMP? I think this may be an issue with the settings in the JPG and Navisworks displaying it incorrectly, if you can upload the JPG I can look at this too.
I had a similar issue as well, but then I took a look at my surface and the aerial overlay that I was using and there was some gaps at the edges. I moved my edge points so that the boundary of the surface matched the extents of the aerial photo and it came in okay.
The problem I was having in Navisworks was that once I rendered the aerial overlay on my surface, it would disappear as soon as I clicked on anything. I am not sure how to get the aerial overlay to "stick" to the surface...
