If you are loading an RVM file into NavisWorks, then you might be able to also exporting the attributes from PDMS into a separate file (normally has the .att extension). NavisWorks will then read this file at the same time as reading the RVM file and attach attributes. This might solve your problem.

I don't see where you tell how this Attribute File is Created in PDMS.  Can you also tell me if there are setting that need to be changed in the Gobal Options in Navisworks to make sure the PDMS RVM File is received correctly?

tcorey,

Hello. If you search the Navisworks Help file for "RVM" it will give you some options for this file type.

If you open the Options Editor and click File Readers > RVM, you will see the RVM options.

You want to keep the attribute file in the same folder as your model file and you want to make sure your file has the correct attribute extension, as listed in the options file.

Make sure the “Covert Attributes” box is checked as well as the “Search all attribute files”.

If you have already loaded your model once,  delete your NWC file and reload your model.  This will create a new NWC file.

I've been trying this for a while with no success.

Do I have to establish a link using the Data Tools?

All, I have successfully dumped attributes from PDMS into Navisworks, as recent as last week. But now when I do it I cannot see the attributes in Navisworks. It loads the RVM and the ATT file but the PDMS properties tab is missing. See attachment for the previous successful attributes dump. This PDMS tab doesn't appear now. Can anyone help?
