FactoryCAD to Navisworks import problems

Does anyone have experience importing FactoryCAD ver. 15 into Navisworks 2012 (NW)?  My import results in wireframes.  NW's Screen Statistics suggests that there are missing object enablers.  Yet, FactoryCAD and NW are loaded on the same pc.  I have adjusted NW's DWG/DXF "loader version," located in NW's global options/file readers.

Here is the only bit of information I have found, which says Object enablers are not needed:

"In order to read a FactoryCAD file into Navisworks, you either need FactoryCAD or the FactoryCAD object enabler installed on the same machine.  NOTE: When using an object enabler, ensure the corresponding loader version (year) is selected in Tools > Global Options > File Readers > DWG/DXF > DWG Loader Version. If FactoryCAD is installed, the object enabler is not necessary. Simply export to .nwc or .nwd."

I am not sure what "simply export to nwc/nwd file" refers to, so I haven't attempted this.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Please look at these two articles about objects from AutoCAD add-ons

If the Loader year and Render mode don't resolve the issue you should contact FactoryCAD to see if Object Enablers are required and have been tested against later versions.

Regarding Export to NWC file, please look at the Help files for a guide about how to implement this.

FactoryCAD enablers are for AutoCAD. Navisworks may not be able to read them.

I have been exploring optinos to do this myself. I think the best option available is to export to nwc as the earlier poster advised. As long as Navisworks was installed after AutoCAD, then you should have the 'NWCOUT' command available to you in AutoCAD.

Just type 'NWCOUT' at the command prompt, give the nwc file a name, and the currently open drawing and XREF are saved as a Navisworks Cache (*.nwc) file, which can be opened in Navisworks Manage.for visulaisation purposes.
