Autodesk Navisworks 2011 API and ‘Add‐Ins’ tab

I have copied "AppInfo.ADSK.dll" into the folder "C:\Program Files\adsk_navisworks_manage_2011\Plugins".  I just readed information from page 12 of  "Autodesk Navisworks 2011 .NET API Developer's Guide", and however the ‘Add‐Ins’ tab didn't show off on Navisworks menu. Please advise how to fix this.

perhaps you solved this already.

You need to copy your dll to

"C:\Program Files\adsk_navisworks_manage_2011\Plugins\AppInfo.ADSK\AppInfo.ADSK.dll"

I did the same as you have written in your message :

Visual C# 2010 Express automatically created this directory

C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Navisworks Manage 2011 Fr\Plugins\AppInfo.ADSK

with these files inside  : AppInfo.ADSK.dll / AppInfo.ADSK.pdb

but still the Add-Ins tab doesn't show in the ribbon :s

If you have an idea it would be great.

I have the same problem as you.

Everything seens ok, but it doesn't appear.

Navisworks 2011only accept .NET 3.5, and Visual Studio 2010 works as a default on .NET 4.0.

So you need to change in the properties of the project to use .NET 3.5
