Auditing a Navisworks model for distant objects

Do you get any of the following problems within Navisworks?

  • When you render your model through Presenter, only the background shows, or you seem to get holes or triangles missing from a render
  • When you navigate the model it looks like you have a section plane in front of you, as describedhere
  • Jerky performance when navigating
  • Model disappears when rotating around the model
  • When you zoom out the model disappears
  • Two faces seem to occupy the same space giving a jagged looking surface

Many issues with distant objects can be avoided by unchecking ( do not import) lines under Options --> File Readers --> Convert Lines.

My issue with CADPIPE files went away i.e. the files being processed by Navis 2012 Manage no longer "exploded" scattering debris out by Pluto.
