2012 Manage - Hidden Items in Saved Viewpoint Not Hidden in Merged Files

I worked through the Navisworks Manage Getting Started Guide. I created saved viewpoints and tags with some objects hidden. The "Save Attributes" checkboxes were both checked. Clicking on the save viewpoints and tags works correctly hiding and unhiding items in each case. I saved the NWF file with a new name (see Project Review file). When I meged it with the master NWF file (see Conference Center file) to simulate reviews from others, the saved viewpoints and tags no longer hide the items. The "Save Attributes" checkboxes are still checked. I have been through all the options and can't find any reason for this. I haven't seen any references to this in any other threads. Has anyone else experienced this? See the attached files:

1 - Conference Center - Master File

2 - Project Review - file with saved viewpoints

Dear rikboose

I reproduced this creating a model in Revit and exporting to an NWC file.  It appears that with exported NWC files, the hidden items in viewpoints don’t come thing merged NWF files.  However, this isn’t the case with NWF files that reference the native CAD format such as with DWG or RVT.

So as a workaround, rather than export to an NWC, you can now open the RVT file directly in Navisworks 2013 using the RVT reader.  I double checked, and when you merge an NWF that references these files, the hidden items remain hidden in the Viewpoints in the merged NWF.

I’ve sent this issue to our development team for investigation.

I followed your example and opened native Autocad 2012 DWG files in Navisworks Manage 2012 and it worked. The hidden items in the saved viewpoints were still hidden in the viewpoints when NWF files were merged. Thanks for the help.
