Hi faavaa,
Navisworks Freedom 2011 is the free viewer for Navisworks, which only is able to open NWD and DWF files. When you open the options editor within Navisworks Freedom, you should only find DWF listed under file types.
As your screenshot shows the other file formats listed, it appears that the issue is occurring in Navisworks Simulate 2011 or Navisworks Manage 2011. Is this correct?
Please browse to the following folder in Windows Explorer depending on your version of 2011:
- C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Navisworks Manage 2011
- C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Navisworks Simulate 2011
Within that folder, is there a lcodpdbx.dll file listed? The lcodpdbx.dll is the DLL file for DWG reader.
Depending on which of the two versions are installed, please try uninstalling and reinstalling Autodesk Navisworks Manage 2011 or Autodesk Navisworks Simulate 2011 from Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.
After uninstalling/reinstalling does the DWG file type appear?

Thanks for your fast reply
I opened the folder but it looks slighty diffrent. I browse to: C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Navisworks Freedom 2011
And there under i can see both lcodp3dxware0.cfg and lcodp3dxware.dll but not the file you said i should look for. Can i find that file somewhere?
Again,
the NavisWorks FREEDOM can only open NWD files.
you need NavisWorks SIMULATE (or MANAGE) to open a DWG file and "save it as" or "publish" a NWD file
Yes I understand. But i forgot to mention that we have the same issues when it comes to simulate 2011
just a hunch:
Try installing Simulate or the trial version of Manage on another machine
See if the options for DWG are there.
If so, Export all the options into an XML
Import the options XML on the machine with the error.
