Appending a Revit model from A360 for Teams in Navisworks

How do you append Revit model, which is stored on A360 for Teams and used with Collaboration for Revit, into Navisworks?

Also if a .nwd is stored on A360 for teams or A360 Drive, how can you append that in also?

Hello @SeanJTM and welcome to the forum.

If I understand this correctly, you want to know how revit models on A360 are appended.

When users working in Collaboration for Revit, Sync to central, they are appending the model.  Is this what you have in mind?

Revit users in the model can create new nwd files using the navisworks exporter.

Alternatively, Navisworks users can open RVT files directly

Please let me know if this answers your question.  I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Michael,

Not quite.

I have Navisworks open, and use an .nwf file that has a revit file appended into it. So every time the revit file is updated and I refresh the .nef, I can see the changes in Navisworks immediately.

Now the revit file is on A360, how do I append it into my Navisworks .nwf?

Hi Sean,

A workflow that may work for you is BIM360

Users of Collaboration for Revit can use the BIM360 Glue addin to post an NWC/DWF to BIM360 which you can consume in Navisworks.

This workflow does not allow you open Revit Files on A360 directly in Navisworks.  Regular Exports to Glue will have be done by the design team but that may be helpul since you won't  be loading large Revit Models on your end.
