How to set the center point's coordinates when Orbit...

Hi, all,

 Please see the attachment.

Assume that the bottom of the column was (0, 0, 0).

Is there any way to set pivot on (0, 0, 0)?

 Thanks.

hi,

sorry, I think this is not supported now The current API can only switch the navigation mode to orbit, but not customize the orbit. But if you want to get the center point of an object, you can use ModelGeometry.BoundingBox.

Has this functionality been updated in the API?  Are we able yet to set the pivot point used in the Orbit navigation mode?

Hi Jon,

Sorry, there is no API to get the orbit pivot point.

To complement the original question,

When creating a SavedViewPoint programmatically, it would be very useful to associate the Orbit center point.

Currently, even not from a programmer point of view, it is terribly frustrating to not be able to have the orbit center point defined in easy way. This should be automatic for example when zooming on an object etc.
